FAQ
What is SHIFT?
SHIFT — شفت. In English it means change. In Lebanese Arabic, شفت means “I saw you.” Clothes for the people who notice what everyone else walks past. You're seen.
What does شفت mean?
“I saw” — “I've seen you” — in Lebanese Arabic. Same sound as the English word “shift.” Two meanings, one word. That's the whole idea.
Where does the lettering come from?
Real Beirut concrete. The Arabic on our pieces is found lettering, cast and carved into the city's walls and barriers — not a designed font. We didn't design this. Beirut did.
How do the tees fit?
Oversized. 260gsm, 100% combed cotton — heavy, structured, built to hold its shape. Want it closer to the body? Size down.
What sizes do you carry?
S, M, L, XL.
How do I care for it?
Wash cold, inside out. Hang or lay flat to dry — no tumble dryer. Don't iron directly over the print. Treat it right and it lasts.
How do drops work?
Limited runs. Once a piece is gone, it's gone. Follow @shiftbeirut so you don't miss one.
